Disable automatic driver updating windows 7
Instead, Automatic Updates will notify the user to restart the computer.
Although the automatic rebooting is disabled, Windows will prompt/remind you to reboot the PC.
However, it's still possible to prevent Windows 10 from downloading driver updates using the Local Group Policy Editor and Registry.
To stop Windows 7 automatic driver installation using the Local Group Policy Editor, click the Start button and type into the Instant Search box at the bottom of the Start menu. Select Computer Configuration in the left pane of the window.
Open Administrative Templates, System and then Driver Installation.
To disable automatic rebooting, open Policy Editor.
Open run command (Win R Key) and type Double click on the option “No auto restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic updates installation”. If the status is set to Enabled, Automatic Updates will not restart a computer automatically during a scheduled installation if a user is logged in to the computer.
