A good dating profile for a man
If you’re pictured with a pile of washing behind you on the bed, your lifestyle suddenly doesn’t look so appealing. If possible, include things in the photo that will help you tell a story about who you are. When you’re online dating, you should think of your profile as you would your résumé.It’s the first thing women are going to see, and they’re going to use it to determine if they want to hire you for the job of hookup, date, boyfriend, or husband.A study conducted by e Harmony and the writing app Grammarly says a man who has even two spelling mistakes in his profile is 14% less likely to receive a positive response from women. Before you finish your profile, run it through a spell checker, have someone else look it over, watch out for the red squiggle, or do whatever you have to do to make sure you’ve crossed your t’s and dotted your i’s.Instead of simply stating that you enjoy watching movies, share one of your favorite experiences at the theater (e.g., you stood in line at the midnight showing of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”). Now, you don’t want your profile to look like a Tolstoy novel — a couple of paragraphs will probably do ya.Just make sure you break up long blocks of text because, apparently, the average attention span now stands at eight seconds, so you have a limited amount of time to get a woman’s attention.

It’s OK to say these things if they’re true, but if that’s all you say without adding anything specific, you won’t stand out.

Most women don’t initiate the messaging, so that means you’ll have to do it, or you can put something in your profile that will make them want to reach out to you.
We’re guessing you wouldn’t show up to a job interview with a crappy résumé, so don’t do that with your dating profile.
