Like they’ve just bought a copy of ‘The Game’ and they think there’s a one magical way to get what you want from women. Am I honestly supposed to find someone I like – and who likes me – all the while navigating an abstract dating board-game? Because it’s real and in these ridiculous dating times, it’s actually quite rare. As a fresh 19 year old, I remember getting a bit of a kick out of knowing how to ‘play the game’. I know what you’re thinking, ‘Well that’s because you want to settle down with someone super soon you big bunny boiler’. I’m open to the idea of meeting ‘The One’, but there’s absolutely no rush. We’re all grown-ups here, if you want to arrange a date, arrange one. If anything I think it makes men seem a bit emotionally immature. (Sorry) There’s nothing more attractive than a guy that texts back straight away on occasion.And because it’s ‘the norm’ I’ve found myself getting sucked into ‘playing the game’ myself.I’ve noticed that on a few occasions, texting back pretty swiftly or being a little more forward has made men run for the hills. It just feels ridiculous to have to jump through hoops.
